Booking a destination wedding photographer involves so many variables, from trust and experience, to style and posing, to creativity and collaboration.

Here we outline the areas in which we shine specifically, and how our approach can make your day a success.

Because while there are many talented photographers, not all approaches are equal, and not all experiences are interchangeable.

outcomes RATHER THAN hours

We don’t book via the typical “hours of coverage”.

We’re there to tell a story with our best creative energy, not punch a clock.

While we will still create a solid photo timeline that focuses on your priorities, that happens AFTER all the details have been finalized.

Instead, we use flat rates for specific Segments and Activities that happen during a typical wedding day (ie, “ceremony”, “cocktail hour” etc), and if there are fluctuations in the schedule for any reason, those moments are still covered!

This approach means:

• No rushing - no one looks good in photos when they’re stressed

• No worrying about overtime - just relax and enjoy your day!

• No pressure to squeeze must-have moments into arbitrary time blocks

Your wedding day gets to remain the immersive and romantic experience that it should be, rather than one where you’re hurrying to check everything off the list before the photographers depart.

BOLD ARTISTIC LIGHTING

You’ve looked at enough photography websites by now to have noticed that not all wedding photos are created equally. If you were drawn to our work because the pop in the highlights, the texture in the rocks and fabric, the vibrant colors of the sky, and the inner glow of the subjects, what you’re looking at there is not a filter or a trick. It’s a SKILL.

Our work looks the way it looks, because of how we light it.

• The sunset in all its epic glory, while ALSO being able to see you in the foreground

• The warm glow of the candles while also stopping the motion of the first dance

• The crowd in shadow with just your dad’s prayer illuminated

• The daytime punch of the flowers and foliage

• And the evening images with that "how did they do that?" glow. None of that happens by accident.

That’s off-camera lighting. It takes years to learn and decades to master it to the point that it becomes second nature. It’s now such a signature part of our style, we’d be remiss not to mention it.

Unlike natural-light-only photographers, we have total control no matter what the conditions, and can both document AND create a moment based on what the scene calls for.
